What Happens When You Delete Your Account
When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently removed:
🗑️ Data That Will Be Deleted
- Account Information: Username, email address, password
- Profile Data: Display name, avatar, bio, country, player title
- User Preferences: Board themes, piece styles, notification settings
- Friend Connections: Friends list, pending friend requests
- Saved Games: Bookmarked games and analysis
- Active Sessions: All logged-in devices will be signed out
📊 Data That May Be Retained (Anonymized)
To maintain the integrity of our platform and for statistical purposes, the following data may be anonymized and retained:
- Game Records: Past game moves and results (player identity removed)
- Tournament Records: Historical tournament data (anonymized)
- Rating Statistics: Aggregate rating data for platform analytics
This anonymized data cannot be traced back to you and is used solely for improving our chess platform.
Before You Delete
Please consider the following before proceeding:
- 🏆 Achievements Lost: All your ratings, achievements, and progress will be permanently deleted
- ♟️ Game History: You will no longer have access to your game history and analysis
- 👥 Friends: Your friends will no longer be able to contact you through the platform
- 🔄 No Recovery: Once deleted, your account cannot be recovered
- 📧 Email Reuse: You may create a new account with the same email after deletion
How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your Chess World account using one of the following methods:
📱 Method 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)
- Open the Chess World app on your device
- Go to Settings (gear icon in the menu)
- Scroll down and tap on Account
- Select "Delete Account"
- Enter your password to confirm your identity
- Read the confirmation message and tap "Confirm Delete"
📧 Method 2: Email Request
If you cannot access the app, you can request account deletion via email:
- Send an email to contact@varnastechsolutions.com
- Use the subject line: "Chess World Account Deletion Request"
- Include the following information in your email:
- Your Chess World username
- Email address associated with your account
- Reason for deletion (optional)
- You will receive a confirmation email within 24-48 hours

During the processing period, your account may be temporarily deactivated. You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I reactivate my account after deletion?
No, once your account is deleted, it cannot be recovered. You would need to create a new account.
Will my rating history be deleted?
Yes, your personal rating history will be deleted. However, anonymized game data may be retained for statistical purposes.
What happens to games I played with other users?
Your opponent's game history will show the game, but your username will be anonymized (e.g., "Deleted User").
Can I export my data before deletion?
Yes, you can export your game history in PGN format from the app before deleting your account. Go to Settings → Account → Export Data.
